Amber Pope joined Community Grief Support as the Development & Communications Manager in October of 2023. She is winsome, adaptive, forward thinking, eager to help, and quite a talent. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media and Film Production from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).

Her non-profit development experience began with the AmeriCorps Vista Program which gave her the opportunity and passion to serve different communities in the Greater Birmingham area and in Alabama’s Black Belt. She also spent two years serving the Woodlawn community by way of the Mason Music Foundation.

Outside of her nonprofit work, Amber has produced a documentary called “Blocked” which was submitted to the 2016 Sidewalk Film Festival. She also served as an associate producer on “Bear Witness, Take Action 3” with YouTube Studios.

Her goal is to support Community Grief Support in our mission to offer a safe space to those who are grieving and in mourning from the loss of a loved one.
